Yep
That seems fairly accurate, though it would have been nice to see them actualy try all the bikes in the tough stuff to see what happened and I beleive over here the BMW comes with cast wheels ?
Ironically tha Caponord isn't marketed by Aprilia as a dualsport machine, it is sold as an "Adventure /Tourer" and all advice is not to take it off road, it's sibling brother the Rally Raid however is desingned as a dualsports.

I've solved the low down power thing on my Capo for the princely sum of £14.95 by fitting a 16 tooth front sprocket (well actualy it cost me nothing as I had a spare one originaly intended for a Mille)

But for me as a complete newby even to the idea of going off road, the Capo is going to be too heavy, just dropping it once will result in hernias picking it up :(

As far as the BMW goes, it's only the wealthy that can afford to risk destroying a £10,000 machine in the dirt, I can replace the Capo three time over at that money

KTM's just toooooo tall for my 30" inseem and the weight issue for me is still there.

Truth is no-one yet makes the perfect DS, they really need the power and handling for on road like most of teh Big Trailies have but the weight and design strength of the KTM's and such like

I don't see the idea of getting two machines as attractive (unless I can get the off roader in my rucksack and ride to the dirt on my road machine LOL)

Perhaps this new engine may tempt a few of the manufacturers...
