It's comfortable, it needs a bash plate and it's Canadian$3000 cheaper than the 1000cc V-Strom....the tester liked it, but he was Canadian :FFonRF:

I was thinking about one a few months back, but a visit to a Suzuki/Kawasaki dealers dissuaded me. The thing is bloody huge compared to a Transalp, I'd say it's almost as big as an Africa Twin. It's a very big bike compared to its current opposition (or at least what it is put up against in road tests), something which is never mentioned. But then, Bike aside, UK bike mags are rubbish.

I still say it's a road bike dressed up as a dualsport. :lg:

Most of these tpe bikes are Pete

Caponord, Varedero, V-Strom, Tiger, Multistrada etc
They're all way too heavy for off road (I mean off road as in bumps, mud, sand, steep inclines, rocks and ruts).
With a very competent rider they can go off tarmac, virtually any bike will handle gravel with the right tyres,
The above bikes are "Adventure/Tourers" built for image, distance and unpaved roads and with respect to the manufacturers they aren't promoted as being off roaders
