The ZRX is a great bike - a proper bike.
If there was a Kawasaki dealer within a reasonable mileage of where I lived, I would have seriously considered getting one instead of the B12 or CB13.
I have only ridden the 1100 personally, which is a little less powerful but essentially the same bike as the 1200. I found the 1100 to be comfortable, fast enough and very stable. Like the B12 it isn't a razor in the twisties, but it is quite well made and has oodles of charisma.
Vis a Vis the B12, I'd say that the Bandit motor/geabox has a slight edge, even though the Kwak is slightly more powerful, but the build and running gear of the Kwak are significantly better than the Suzuki's. Both are better in every way (except looks, possibly?) than the CB13 and the XJR and the GSX14.
Only weak spot I've heard of is the thin paint, which can wear through.

Fixed, I´m not worthy :p:
Out of interest, what´s the realistic fuel consumption on those bikes? (please tell me how many liters are the gallons you measure in :ljl:)
I´ld love one of those Kawasakis, weren´t the old ones called Zephyr? with air cooled engines? How did those go?

It's got a 19 litre tank (5 gallons ?) I usually get about 140 miles full to reserve riding at a fast rate, I have got 180 miles when taking it easier.

If my memory serves me right the Zephyr used a different engine. The ZRX uses the ZZR motor.

XJR - all show (until it rusts) and not quite enough go. They are the nicest looking and most authentic of all the retro style muscle bikes.
Fact is: XJR, B12, GSX14, CB13, ZRX, CB (Big One), CB13 are all pretty evenly matched in performance terms. A bit like sportsbikes, if ordinary riders were to race them against one another, the ability of the rider would be, by far, the most important factor.
CB13 is the best handling.
ZRX is the fastest.
XJR is the prettiest.
GSX is the flabbiest.
B12 is the Plain Jane.
