In summery
Cagiva’s Navigator is more of a street bike than its styling would suggest, although it’s as sure-footed on gravel as any other 210kg light tourer and better than some purpose-built mud-pluggers, within the limits of its street tyres. Nevertheless, on the blacktop it’s superbly competent; it’ll commute, it’ll tour, it takes two in comfort and it’ll give you the kind of Sunday morning rides that make motorcycling worthwhile.
Build quality, fit and finish will stand comparison with the best in the world and the design work shows real insight into what a motorcycle actually does; it’s cohesive, smooth and very practical.

I too have a blue one as I do believe they are faster ( like green kwackers)..
Just fitted some engine bars ready for a Euro tour and if I get to meet up with Pete/BJ then I might get to try her out on some looser surfaces...
I have BT020s fitted .. Does anyone have any other recommendations for tyres for such a beast:unsure:
Are there only 3 of us on this board... I presume everyone else has gone for beemers by the number of GS posts in here:nonono:

No probs there Gedge! I'll sit outside the cafe surrounded by nubile senoritas and cheer you on! :ljl:
As for tyres.....IMO I'd say Tourances, though I've heard a lot of good things about Anakees too.

If there are senoritas:da: I am not risking falling off in front of thenm so maybe we had better stick to tarmac:yen:
I believe that part of the problem is the odd front wheel size on the Navigator (18") which limits tyre choice.. and in fact I think Tourances are unavailable for the front.... ( unless anyone else knows better as I quite fancy a pair when the bridgetsones are dead)..

I wouldn´t advise on Tourances, I am finishing a pair and the front was a disappointment, since it kind of vibrates and wobles in corners, mostly in the wet, but this is just my experience, others never had a problem with them.
I´m trying Anakees next.

The Tourance is a serious tyre for serious riders Pedro.

I put a Tourance on the back of my xl600 after having a continental tkc on.
It's a thinner tyre than the conti and it feels good other than I can make it move around easier. Still got a conti on the front. Good for road, light off road and it's lasting well.
