Well, it's not the 750cc motor we'd hoped for, but she'll still do I guess.

I like black rims and that's about all I can really say. I mean, it's not like I'll ever see one of these close up or anything. :(

I was looking at one of these honda transalps the other day and i realised that it uses the engine out of the honda BROS650? surely its time Honda built a new V-twin engine?

If they did that, it would frighten the old doddery codgers away from bikes like the Dullville and TA and on to scooters jmc  .

They could at least tune it up by raising the compression and putting some slightly more exciting camshafts in. The power it makes is not competitive currently. This will lead to a sales problem for the TA (one which could be easily rectified if they sold it in the USA by all accounts!), which will lead to its eventual deletion. It will go the same way as that amazing yet neglected motorcycle, the Africa Twin

It's not supposed to make a lot of power. Dualsports are not about masses of power.
They're about having a reasonable level of power where you need it most....low and mid range.
Any dramatic mods to the motor will just move the power further up the rev range.

The TA doesn't need more power, it's perfectly fine for what it's supposed to do.
It could (like most middle aged items) do with losing quite a bit of weight (maybe 40-50kg)
and gain some ground clearance.

That'd be the dogs danglies trail bike then eh ?

I know mate
They're as bad as the tards who do the tests in the mags :P

If it don't brake like an R1 or accelerate like a V-Max or handle like a Duc then it's not worthy of mention

Oh well
I'm very very very happy with my 100mph max dirty bike that eats rear tyres on tarmac :o

I'd be tempted by a higher performance TA. 750 - 900cc with 80bhp and 50/60ft/lb weighing in at 190 kgs? Lovely.

Mind you, there is the TDM.
